A New Light Against Addiction: โ€˜Tajdare Baghdad Conferenceโ€™ in Jalna Resolves for Social Reform!

Ulema from Across the Country and Devotees from the State Gather in Jalna

Jalna: Drug addiction is rapidly increasing across the country, and now even the youth of the Muslim community are falling into its trap. To curb this menace, social awareness and adherence to Islamic teachings are essential. With this objective, the “Tajdare Baghdad Conference” was held in Jalna on Wednesday evening, where an important resolution was passed to keep the youth away from addiction and to advance society according to Islamic principles.

Grand Conference and Major Announcements

The historic event took place with great enthusiasm at Darul Uloom Razvia Latifiya Misbahul Uloom on Kharpudi Road in Jalna. During the program, the foundation stone of Masjid-e-Tajusharia was laid, and a Jalsa-e-Dastarbandi (turban-tying ceremony) was held to honor students who had memorized the Quran at the madrasa.

This grand gathering was graced by the presence of Allama Moinuddin Ashraf (Mumbai), President of All India Sunni Jamiat Ulema, and Munazir-e-Ahle Sunnat Sher-e-Raza, Allama Mufti Abdul Mannan Kalimi Muradabadi. A large number of people from across the state attended the conference to listen to their enlightening speeches.

The event was presided over by Syed Jameel Maulana, the Marathwada President of Raza Academy, while Mohammad Ziaurrahman conducted the program excellently. The entire event was organized under the supervision of Maulana Ghulam Jilani Misbahi. The atmosphere turned deeply spiritual with the melodious recitations of Naโ€™at (Islamic poetry in praise of Prophet Muhammad) by renowned Naโ€™atkhwans Mohsin Raza Barelvi and Maulana Rajab Mankapuri (UP).

Mufti Abdul Mannan Kalimiโ€™s Message โ€“ โ€˜Love These Four Places, and You Will Succeed!โ€™

Islamic scholar Mufti Abdul Mannan Kalimi delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of loving four sacred places for a true Muslim:

  • 1. The House of Allah (Mosque) โ€“ Anyone who visits a mosque is a guest of Allah.
  • 2. The House of the Prophet (Madrasas and Islamic Educational Institutions) โ€“ Those who seek knowledge here will be honored on the Day of Judgment.
  • 3. The House of the Saints (Khanqahs) โ€“ The homes of Sufi scholars, where the teachings of the Quran are spread.
  • 4. Graves, Shrines, and Dargahs โ€“ Places where believers experience the spiritual presence of the Prophet.
  • He emphasized that one who loves these four places will achieve success in both this life and the hereafter.

Expressing deep concern over the growing addiction problem, Allama Moinuddin Ashraf stated:

  • “Youth in Mumbai and other major cities, as well as smaller towns, are falling into the trap of drug abuse. If we do not stop this now, future generations will be destroyed!”
  • He identified two main reasons behind this rising issue:
  • 1. Distancing from Islamic teachings
  • 2. Negligence of parents

He urged the community to unite against this evil and reconnect the youth with Islamic values.

On this occasion, renowned Naโ€™atkhwans Mohsin Raza Barelvi and Maulana Rajab Mankapuri (UP) captivated the audience with their soul-stirring Naโ€™ats, enhancing the spiritual ambiance of the event.
