Frequently Asked Questions

Which method are the Namaz timings based on?

The Indian city timings use the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method (18° for Fajr and Isha) with the Hanafi method for Asr, which most Masjids in India follow. The world city pages use each country’s own method (for example Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, ISNA in North America) and show both Shafi and Hanafi Asr.

How often are these tools updated?

Gold rates and the Zakat Nisab are updated every day, Namaz timetables every month, and the Ramadan timetable will be confirmed after the moon sighting.
