Preparations Begin for the Urs of Sufi Saint Hazrat Gareeb Shah Dataar (RA)
Special Events on January 22 and 23, 2025
Jalna: The annual Urs of the renowned Sufi saint, Hazrat Gareeb Shah Dataar (RA), will be celebrated this year with great spiritual fervor and devotion in Jalna. The sacred event will commence on the 21st of Rajab (January 22, 2025) and continue until the 22nd of Rajab (January 23, 2025).
The Urs will officially begin after the Asr prayer on January 22, with the traditional Chadar Poshi (offering of a ceremonial cloth) at the Dargah Sharif. On the second day, January 23, the program will include the recitation of the Holy Quran and a special Fatiha (prayer for blessings). In the evening, a spiritual gathering (Noori Mehfil) will be held, where the chief Imam of Gulzar Masjid, Maulana Ghulam Jilani Misbahi, will deliver a special sermon.
Trustees Ilyas Ahmed Siraj Ahmed, Haji Azeem Ahmed, and Ahmed Noor have urged citizens to participate in this spiritual gathering.
The primary objective of this sacred occasion is to spread the teachings of Sufi saints and promote their message of love, peace, and unity. The organizing committee has invited all devotees to attend the blessed event and benefit from the prayers and spiritual blessings.
