Urs at Dargah Syed Ahmed Sher Sawar
Jalna: The historic Dargah Syed Ahmed Sher Sawar, also known as Rajabagh Sawar Dargah in Jalna, will witness the grand celebration of the 747th Urs Sharif starting from January 7, 2025. This three-day religious and social event will attract thousands of devotees from across the country. The District Collector has declared a public holiday in Jalna district on January 8, 2025, to mark the occasion. Special programs such as the Sunni Conference, Naat recitals, turban-tying ceremonies, and the viewing of sacred relics like Mo-e-Mubarak and historical artifacts will make the festival memorable.

Reflecting Jalna’s Ganga-Jamuni cultural harmony, this event will serve as a testament to Hindu-Muslim unity. Speaking about the Urs, Dargah Mutawalli Syed Jameel Maulana mentioned that all religious activities will adhere to Islamic guidelines. Devotees from diverse communities, including Hindus and Muslims, participate in the event with faith and reverence. Islamic scholars from across the country, along with devotees from remote areas of the state, are expected to attend.

Event Schedule
- January 7, 2025 (Tuesday):
- 10:00 AM: Zikr Khatm Khwajgan (Silsila Chishtiya).
- Afternoon: Quran Recitation.
- Evening: Sandal ritual at Mazar Sharif and Langar-e-Gharib Nawaz.
- Night: Naat recital by renowned Naat Khwan Ahmed Raza Noori Miyan.

- January 8, 2025 (Wednesday):
- Evening: Sunni Conference and Turban-Tying Ceremony.
- Renowned Islamic scholars, including Maulana Mufti Faiz Raza Khan (Bareilly Sharif), Syed Moinuddin Ashrafi (Mumbai), and Alhaj Sayed Noori (President, All India Raja Academy), will deliver speeches.
- Special Highlights: Distribution of Quran copies to 1,000 Hafiz-e-Quran.
- Sacred relics such as Mo-e-Mubarak and Ghilaf-e-Kaaba will be on display (for men only).

- January 9, 2025 (Thursday):
- Closing ceremony with special Fatihah recitations and prayers.
During the Urs, the Dargah complex transforms into a festive hub, featuring various stalls and exhibitions of Islamic literature, which remain a significant attraction for visitors.
