Imam of Kaaba Sheikh Saleh Humaid Visits Uzbekistan After 35 Years

Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Grand Imam of Masjid al-Haram (Grand Mosque) in Makkah, has arrived in Uzbekistan to take part in the First International Forum on Islamic Civilization. His presence at the event is the first visit by an imam to the country in 35 years.

The forum brings attention to the historical heritage of Islamic science, culture, enlightenment and the development of civilization. Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid’s attendance adds to the international standing of the event.
