The General Presidency for Religious Affairs at Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque) in Madinah has opened volunteer positions to serve pilgrims during Hajj 2026.
The call was published on 20 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1447 AH (7 May 2026) through the Saudi Press Agency.
Available Roles
The volunteer programme covers six main areas:
- Religious guidance and counselling
- Organising prayer rows
- Monitoring screens and electronic devices
- Translation
- Field awareness campaigns
- General visitor services at Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque)
Who Can Apply
- This programme is open to Saudi citizens and legal residents (Iqama holders) who are physically present in the Kingdom.
- Applicants must have an active Absher account, as registration is linked to the National Volunteer Work Platform via Saudi national ID or Iqama number.
Pilgrims entering Saudi Arabia on a Hajj visa are not eligible. Overseas applicants without an Iqama or Saudi ID cannot register through this system.
How to Register
- Applications are submitted through the National Volunteer Work Platform at nvg.gov.sa.
- Once on the platform, select the “Religious” category
- Then search for the General Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Prophet’s Mosque to view and register for available roles.
