ताशकंद: Uzbekistan के Center for Islamic Civilization ने एक international calligraphy competition की घोषणा की है, जिसका लक्ष्य दुनिया की अलग-अलग Arabic calligraphy traditions को जोड़ते हुए Holy Qur’an की एक unique handwritten copy तैयार करना है। UNA-OIC के अनुसार project का नाम “World Qur’an: From the Traditions of Arabic Calligraphy to the Heritage of the Future” है.
Project की खास बात क्या है?
एक ही calligrapher या एक ही regional style के बजाय अलग देशों और calligraphic schools की traditions को एक artistic-cultural work में जोड़ने का विचार है। इससे Qur’an writing से जुड़ी Islamic calligraphy की diversity को showcase करने का प्रयास होगा.
Arabic calligraphy और Qur’an का पुराना रिश्ता
Islamic history में Qur’anic manuscripts ने calligraphy, book arts और manuscript preservation को विकसित करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। अलग periods और regions में Kufic, Naskh और अन्य scripts के distinctive forms सामने आए.
Competition किस context में घोषित हुई?
Announcement Tashkent में आयोजित international media forum “Islamic Civilization: A New Perspective – New Discoveries” के दौरान हुई। Forum में Qur’an, manuscripts और Islamic heritage से जुड़े cultural और scientific projects भी प्रस्तुत किए गए.
क्या यह नई Qur’an text तैयार करने की कोशिश है?
नहीं। Artistic manuscript project का अर्थ Qur’anic text बदलना नहीं है। Calligraphy presentation और script style से जुड़ी कला है; Qur’an के Arabic text की accuracy सर्वोपरि रहती है.
Accuracy कैसे सुनिश्चित होनी चाहिए?
ऐसे किसी भी manuscript project में qualified review, proofreading और established Qur’anic text standards जरूरी हैं। सुंदर writing कभी textual accuracy का विकल्प नहीं हो सकती। Official project की detailed review process organisers द्वारा तय की जाएगी.
Global participation क्यों meaningful?
Arabic calligraphy केवल Arab world तक सीमित नहीं रही। Ottoman, Persianate, Central Asian, South Asian और अन्य Muslim cultures ने manuscript arts में अलग contributions दिए। International participation इस shared heritage को एक मंच पर ला सकती है.
Uzbekistan का historical context

Young calligraphers को क्या मौका?
International competition emerging artists को master traditions के साथ अपनी skill दिखाने का अवसर दे सकती है। लेकिन Qur’anic calligraphy सामान्य design contest से अलग जिम्मेदारी रखती है—letter formation, spelling और reverence सभी महत्वपूर्ण हैं.
Digital age में handwritten Qur’an क्यों?
आज Qur’an apps और high-resolution digital texts आसानी से उपलब्ध हैं, फिर भी handwritten manuscript cultural memory और craftsmanship का अलग अनुभव देता है। Digital technology preservation, scanning और global access में मदद कर सकती है, जबकि hand calligraphy human skill को जीवित रखती है.
Heritage को museum तक सीमित न रखें
Calligraphy workshops, school exhibitions और digitised manuscript collections नई generation को art history से जोड़ सकते हैं। Heritage तभी जीवित रहता है जब लोग उसे समझें, केवल glass case में देखें नहीं.
Commercialisation से सावधानी

South Asia की Arabic, Persian और Urdu calligraphy traditions समृद्ध हैं। International projects Indian calligraphers और students को global styles compare करने और manuscript conservation पर सीखने का अवसर दे सकते हैं, यदि participation rules उन्हें शामिल करते हों.
क्या देखना होगा आगे?
Competition eligibility, submission process, jury, selected scripts, manuscript review और final display से जुड़ी detailed information महत्वपूर्ण होगी। Interested artists को केवल official Center announcements पर भरोसा करना चाहिए.
Manuscript conservation भी उतना ही जरूरी
एक उत्कृष्ट handwritten work बनाने के बाद paper, ink, humidity, light और storage conditions उसके भविष्य को प्रभावित करते हैं। Heritage institutions conservation science के जरिए manuscripts को आने वाली generations के लिए सुरक्षित रखते हैं.

यदि final work high-resolution digitisation के साथ उपलब्ध कराया जाता है तो दुनिया भर के students script styles और artistic details study कर सकते हैं। Digital copy original का substitute नहीं, preservation और education का companion बन सकती है.
Calligraphy सीखने वाले क्या करें?
पहले basic letter proportions और recognised teacher से script discipline सीखें। Qur’anic verses लिखते समय text को reliable mushaf से verify करें। Decorative experimentation से पहले accuracy और adab को प्राथमिकता दें.
Heritage tourism का अवसर
Islamic Civilization Center जैसे institutions manuscripts, architecture और scholarship को एक educational visitor experience में जोड़ सकते हैं। इससे tourism केवल photographs तक सीमित न रहकर history learning का माध्यम बन सकता है.
एक manuscript, कई traditions
Project की सबसे बड़ी cultural appeal यही है कि Qur’an से जुड़ी अलग calligraphic traditions को competition से आगे बढ़ाकर collaborative heritage work में बदला जाए। यदि accuracy और conservation standards मजबूत रहे तो यह future researchers के लिए भी valuable record बन सकता है.
