Sheikh Saleh al-Maghamsi was born in 1963 and raised in a scholarly family. He spent his childhood in Wadi alтАСSafra, a village in the Badr Governorate west of Madinah, before his family moved to the city of Madinah.

He studied tafsir and hadith with figures such as Sheikh ╩┐Atiyyah Mohammed Salem and Sheikh Abu Bakr alтАСJazairi, and he benefited from the teachings of Grand Mufti Sheikh Ibn Baz and Shaykh Ibn ╩┐Uthaymin.

AlтАСMaghamsi initially worked as a teacher and educational supervisor in MedinaтАЩs schools. He subsequently joined the faculty of Taibah University, where he taught Arabic and Islamic studies and later lectured at the Higher Institute for Imams and Preachers.
In the midтАС2000s, he became a member of the arbitration committee for the International Commission on Scientific Miracles in the QurтАЩan and Sunnah and was later appointed as a mufti on Saudi television, which broadened his reach.
His leadership at Quba Mosque marked a turning point. Serving as Imam and Khatib, he delivered Friday sermons and conducted weekly tafsir lessons that attracted worshippers from across the region.
These lessons were widely recorded and shared on television and social media. AlтАСMaghamsi is known for his calm, articulate style and his ability to connect classical Islamic scholarship to contemporary issues.
In 2026 he was elevated by royal decree to serve as an imam at the ProphetтАЩs Mosque, a role that highlights the KingdomтАЩs trust in his scholarship and leadership.
Beyond his mosque duties, he continues to lead the AlтАСBayan Center and participates in academic forums and media programs that promote QurтАЩanic reflection and moderation in Islamic discourse.
