Jalna: The great sacrifice of Shaheed-e-Karbala Imam Hussain (RA) can never be forgotten. His martyrdom is an example of patience and gratitude for all humanity. This was said by Maulana Ghulam Jilani Misbahi, Pesh Imam of Gulzar Masjid, while guiding the citizens about the month of Muharram before Friday prayers.
Maulana urged Muslims to avoid wrong customs and practices and to avoid sinning. For this, Muslims should observe prayers, fast, help the needy through charity and alms, organize gatherings for nayaaz, fatiha, tilawat-e-Quran, and act within the limits of Islamic Sharia.
Warned against un-Islamic acts. Maulana said that making taazia, placing sawari, taking out sawari processions, collecting donations for all these works, making vows on sawari, offering offerings, showering flowers on sawari, making lions, cheetahs, monkeys, dancing and singing, playing drums and trumpets are all un-Islamic. Muslims should avoid such wrong deeds. Mourning and mourning the martyrdom of Imam Hussain is also haram. Spending extravagantly in the name of sawari, consuming intoxicants, jamming roads, and causing trouble to others is also not permissible according to Islam. All such acts should be avoided by oneself and others should also be urged to do so.

Maulana Misbahi said that all the Ulema and elders of Ahlesunnat Wal Jamaat, especially Ala Hazrat Barelvi (RA), have strictly forbidden these acts and have even written a book against them. He appealed to the Muslims to spend the month of Muharram in an Islamic way.
Guiding about Muharram and its virtues, Maulana said that Sayyidush Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain had sacrificed everything in the plain of Karbala, but did not accept the orders of a tyrant and sinner like Yazid. Even in such difficult circumstances, Hazrat Imam Hussain kept the worship and obedience of Allah above all else. Maulana also recited Iqbal’s verse:
“The one prostration that you consider fallen, gives salvation to man from thousands of prostrations.”

Maulana Misbahi said that to become a true Husaini, we should adopt the character and deeds of Hazrat Imam Hussain and become observant of patience, gratitude, and prayers. He said that the success of action with the strength of faith and belief is the hallmark of a good and true Muslim. There is no place for discrimination in Islam and it gives the order to walk on the path of right and truth. Islam also guides to act on honesty, unity, agreement, and brotherhood, so Muslims should mold their character according to Islam. There is importance of humanity in Islam, and that is why Muslims love their Prophet Muhammad (SAW) immensely and cannot tolerate any disrespect towards his honor.
The month of Muharram has a special virtue due to Ashura. In Islamic history, it is known for the martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Karbala. Whoever respects this month, Allah will honor him in Paradise and he will attain salvation.
